In-Field-Repair
Originally the steel alloy used by us was developed for airplane frame parts (yes, genuine airplane steel…) and is weld and solder able. In principle locations of fracture should be only soldered in close proximity to fittings, since they were factory-installed almost exclusively soldered. With the attempt to weld, the plumb bob material there would make a professional welded joint in these places, impossible.
Breaks in the pipe, which are appropriate for more than 10mm far away from a fitting, can also be welded.
Soldering and filigree welding are done best by car body-builders (Garage/Repair Shop), precision mechanics, or blacksmith.

In case of repair, please proceed as follows:
- Remove all parts and the color within the range concerned of the carrier. For baring the place you can use sandpaper or each sharp edged tool.
- In case you want to repair a breakage at your carrier, a reinforcement of the location of fracture by means of a piece of steel or a smaller tubing section is reasonable. Such a reinforcement piece should be slightly thicker than the inside diameter of the broken pipe.
- Also one „splinting “of the breakage location of fracture with the help of a larger external pipe is possible. Don’t cool the repaired part with water under any circumstances, but leave it to cool down slowly by itself!
